Once you are discharged, can I sell my house? Would I have any obligations with the proceeds of the house? The house is worth significantly more than when I started the bankruptcy 8 months ago and the proceeds would definatley exceed the exempt amount.
My husband wants to buy into a non-profit RESP for our children. I don’t work and therefore would not be contributing to it. I am considering filing a personal bankruptcy. Would the creditors require him to cash in the RESP? We currently have no savings plan started but want to get going?

Does the bankrupt have a right to recieve copies of correspondence or documents that the Trustee recieves from creditors during the bankruptcy?
Are appliances (fridge, stove, washer, dishwasher) taken into account when calculating the value of the house to establish the home equity ? Or they are separate assets ?
CCRA FILE A STATEMENT OF CLAIM WITH TRUSTEE A MONTH AFTER MY BANKRUPTCY. I WENT BANKRUPT IN AUG. 2003. CCRA DID NOT FILE AN OBJECTION TO MY DISCHARGE UNTIL JAN 2006. AM I CORRECT THAT THIS FILING DOES NOT MEET THE LEGAL TIME REQUIREMENT FOR FILING AN OBJECTION ON THE BANKRUPT?
