I have admitted to stealing money from a former employer. This money was paid back. CCRA is now coming at me for taxes on this money and other money that they have decided was undeclared income. Can this debt be discharged through personal bankruptcy (Alberta)?
My girlfiend lives with me. I understand that i have to declare her income in my bankruptcy. she is not declaring. just me. Since her taxes were filed seperatly last year she gets baby bonus and gst back. My question is does this count as income under my bankruptcy and should it be claimed.
Are Revenue Canada interest and penalties cleared in a bankruptcy (not a court penalty, a penalty set by Revenue Canada for late-filing for example).
Do lottery, bingo, or other prize money counted in a calculation of surplus income in Ontario? I read before that it doesn’t count, but thought the law may have changed by now.
How many times can a person claim bankruptcy?. I claimed with I as in my 20’s now I am in my 40’s can I claim again?
I believe a Quebec company whom I do business with is presently in trusteeship. I have done a search on Industry Canada’s website Insolvency Search and come up with nothing. Is there another list, registry or search engine that will give me other results? Much obliged,
