No – bankruptcy law deals with your unsecured creditors – if you house is being sold at auction it is usually a result of unpaid property taxes or an unpaid mortgage. Both of these creditors have the right to seize and sell, even if you have filed for bankruptcy.

If your house is being sold by the Court as a result of soe form of Civil Judgment against you then bankruptcy might temporarily stop the process, but then the trustee would likely seize and sell your house so in the end you may not be any better off. Sorry, but if has gone this far then it’s time to move.
