What happens to my cars?

Hello hoping I can get some clarity here.
We had our house foreclosed back in September 2012 and we just recieved notice that there is a balance owing of over 20.000.
We lost our home due to job loss I am currently recieving EI and my wife is on disability. We have 2 vehicles which we are still paying on (2 years left on the note)
If we file for bankrupcy will we lose our cars? we are currenlty renting so there really isn’t anything for the bank to take.

As long as you keep your payments current on the cars they may not be taken from you regardless of whether or not you file bankruptcy or a proposal.
