CRA and garnishment

Can the CRA garnish my income at source, or do they only have the right to garnish my bank accounts?

CRA has the right to either garnish at source or the bank account and this can be done without notice. The only way to prevent CRA from using these powers is to negotiate settlment terms directly with CRA, or file either a formal consumer proposal or bankruptcy. Both of these have a stay of proceedings that will prevent CRA from continuing with any garnishment.
