lawsuit for motor vehicle accident
I have a legal suit pending from a car accident in february 2004.I filed personal bankruptcy in february2009.What damages that I am awarded have to go to my trustee?I understand pain and suffering awards can`t be touched.

You are correct that pain an suffering awards do not become an asset of the bankruptcy estate and therefore will not be paid to your
trustee, but that is really the extent of it. Things like loss of wages, damage to property etc. would all be paid directly to your trustee.
At this point what you need to do is to inform your trustee of this pending recovery, provide them with the required contact details for the lawyer handling the suit and they will ensure these funds are dealt with properly.
