My adult son has just filed for bankruptcy. As a result he has had to cut up all of his credit cards. He is an authorized user of a Visa credit card of which I am the primary owner. He is very worried about being an authorized user on this card. Must I remove him from the card or can I leave it. I am the one responsible for payment of the card and would like to leave things as they are. Is this legal?

As long as your son surrendered his copy of the card (if he had one) when he filed there won’t be any problems. You have the right to give anyone you want access to your credit cards – it’s generally a bad idea, but you have the right to do it.
