mortgage and credit cards

owing 50k on credit cards and car loan. mortgage of 100k. current house value is 120k. i can manage the monthly mortgage payment but cannot pay credit cards and car loan. i can take public transit. can i file bankruptcy and keep the house without anyone going after the house. please help. thank you.

This is definitely possible, although depending on what part of BC you live in you may have to contribute a little into the Bankruptcy estate due to non-exempt equity in the house. The best thing for you to do is to contact a local trustee who will help you determine what the exemption limit is for the specific part of BC in which you live.
