Joe Broke
I worked in the US, and after losing my job, had to walk away from my mortgage, which obviously affected my US credit rating. I have since found employment in Canada. Is my credit rating in Canada affected by what happened to me in the US?

Typically a credit rating is country specific. So your American credit rating is independent of one here in Canada. But this is only true to a point. There is nothing stopping a lender in Canada from examining your America credit rating prior to making any lending decisions.
