This is largely going to depend on the size of the mortgage on your home and whether or not you have missed any mortgage payments. If you have very little equity the likelihood of keeping the property is greater than if you have lots of equity due to the way the provincial exemption laws operate. The best thing you can do is to contact a local trustee so they can look at your property in more depth and tell you what would take place given the size of your mortgage.
