can my childrens support money from my ex be taken off me, if i file for bancruptsy. also if i do not work or have assets, can i still file for bancruptsy.

A licensed trustee said...

It won’t be taken from you, but you will have to disclose this income to your trustee and it may affect the amount you are required to pay every month for the bankruptcy. When you speak to a trustee about filing they will ask you how much income is coming into your household and your monthly payment will be based on that number.
