value of said goods

August 19th, 2008 by Questions

I have a collection of older video games and a fair amount of dvd`s. Is this considered an asset and how would they determine the value of said goods? Is it possible to be able to keep these items if I file for bankruptcy?

I am sure your trustee will allow you to keep the video games and DVDs provided you agree to pay an amount equal to their value into your bankruptcy.

How do you dtermine their value? That’s a good question. You’ll need a list of all of the games and discs and your best guess for what you might sell them for (say on Ebay or at a used CD store or at an auction). If you can’t come up with a value your trustee will likley know someone that can.
