I just recently filed for bankruptcy. How long do I have to wait until I can legally purchase and own a vehicle, before or after my discharge?

There is no restriction on when you can legally own or purchase a vehicle, in fact in most provinces there is a level of equity in a vehicle that is protected from seizure in a bankrutpcy.

The only thing you have to worry about now is disclosing the fact that you are an undischarged bankrupt when applying for a vehicle loan (this is only applicable prior to receiving your discharge).
