Canadian Student loans

I have not attended school since 1997. I Moved to the States immediately following school and still reside in the US. I have over te year made very minimal payments since I do not make much money. I never even covered my interest. I have not made a payment since 2004 and have been serve documents stating immediate payment is due (approx $20,000 Cdn). There is no way possible I can pay this. I live in Michigan which has been hit extremely hard and I am lucky to have the low paying job that I do have. What are my options? Is filing for bankruptcy in Ontario and option?

You would be eligible to file for bankruptcy in Ontario. What you would need to do is to contact an Ontario trustee, they will then be able to discuss your options generally and help you negotiate the process of filing cross-border.
