Student loan

i guess my question is since the laws have changed, if my loans are more than 10 years old….and i have not filed for bancruptcy does the government write them off after a certain point or does it last forever ?

These laws only apply to persons that have filed an assignment in bankruptcy or a proposal to creditors. If you have not done either of these things then the laws do not apply to you.

(in other words, your student loans will not be automatically discharge/forgiven…)
