student loan payments during my bankruptcy
If I am going to bankruptcy before my 10 years period up for student loans to be discharged, do I still have to make monthly student loans during my discharge period of 9 months or I`ll resume my student loans payments after 9 month discharge? Thanks

You actually can choose what you’d like to do. The assumption is that you will NOT make any student loan payments during your bankruptcy, but they will resume once you have been discharged. If you want to, you may continue to make the payments during your bankruptcy, but you’ll have to contact the bank directly to set it up.
You might be wondering why anyone would choose to continue to make their payments if they don’t have to – well, because the student loan will survive the bankruptcy they are allowed to charge you interest during the bankruptcy. Some people choose to pay to avoid the extra interest.
