Travel inquiry

I heard that once you claim bankruptcy that you are not allowed to travel out of the country for X amount of years, is this true? I’m considering it and my boyfriend lives in England. It’s not an option for me if this is true.

There are no restrictions on travel if/when you file for bankruptcy – you may file and then travel where ever you want. Keep in mind you must make certain you are available to perform all of your duties so if a meeting is scheduled you must attend, but as long as you plan your trip carefully, there’s no reason you can’t go to England.
