Bankruptcy risk to common law partner

I’m just entering a new common law relationship how will bankruptcy affect my new partner and their assets?

As long as your common law partner has not signed on any of your debts and you don’t own any joint property (i.e. house, car etc.) then your filing bankruptcy won’t have any impact on your common law.
