payments

December 9th, 2012 by Questions

I am 26 and considering declaring bankruptcy. I am wondering if you have to be behind in your payments in order to declare. I can make the payments every month, but then do not have enough money for myself to eat properly. I have to end up putting money on my cards to buy food.

You do not need to be in arrears with your payments to file for bankruptcy (or a consumer proposal). This is one of those bits of misinformation that drives people crazy. Use the links on this site to find a trustee near you and give them a call to discuss all of your options.
