Bank Acct

If i open a new bank acct before possible bancrupcy due to spousal seperation. Can I still pay my credit card bills from the new account without the risk of them debiting the account in the future if my seperated spouse and I decide to go bancrupt?

If your new bank account is at a financial institution that you are not indebted to (ie you don’t have a loan, line or credit or credit card with them) then no one will be able to simply debit your account without some kind of Court Order – you should be safe.
