Back in about 2003 I lost my house to the bank ans they took the house back and mortgage. They are still coming to me after 9 or 10 years. I still don’t have the money to pay them off. The mortgage has now went to a collection agency called CDMC. And i wanted to know if I declare bankrupcty. Will this debt go away. I am not worries so much about the rest. Just this one.

A licensed trustee said...

This sort of debt should be covered under bankruptcy law, BUT you can’t file for just one debt – you have to include all of them. Like the last posting, contact a trustee in your area to discuss your options.
