You can definitely include this amount in a bankruptcy. In fact, when you file for bankruptcy you are legally required to list all your debts, so you wouldn’t have any choice. But realistically if you are going to file for bankruptcy anyway it only makes sense to list everyone you can so that you don’t have anything hanging over your head and you can truly move forward.
