Permanent Resident
I sponsored my American wife and children and they became permanent residents in March. The lengthy process really drained our finances and we’re contemplating bankruptcy. I’m just wondering how this could or would affect their permanent residency status, if at all. Thank you.

If you have already sponsored them and they have become permanent residences, then there is nothing you need to worry about. The only difficulty we see people encounter is if you want to sponsor someone, but if the process is completed you shouldn’t have any problems.
