Hi, I’ve searched other questions but nothing has quite answered mine. I’m in credit card debt ($50K-ish…) and unemployed. I understand about being judgement proof, but can I still file for bankruptcy anyway? I’d like to get out of this now so as when I do find work I can quickly get back to building my credit.

Yes, you can. We usually tell people to wait until they are working simply because EI doesn’t provide a lot of income and most people need all of it to live on (as opposed to paying a trustee $1800 to administer a bankurptcy for you).
