directorship

I realize that while an individual cannot be a director in a company while in bankruptcy, I wonder about being a director in a society.

I know of someone that is currently bankrupt, and is a director and president of a not-for-profit society.

Is this allowed?

A licensed trustee said...

Nope – the polite thing to do is to quietly advise the person to speak to their trustee. If that doesn’t work try speaking to some of the other board members.
