Bankrupcy Payments

What happens if one month I cannot make the payment as per the bankrupcy obligation. Can I make it up at a later time or is it added to the term?

The answer depends on what the payment is for and where you are in the process. If you are in the first 9 months then your trustee has some discretion – give them a call. If you are at the end of the process there are deadlines and rules that kick in. If you are making Court ordered payments then missing a payment may have serious consequences.

If you have already filed then call your trustee to discuss this in greater detail. If you haven’t already filed then add this to you list of questions to be answered BEFORE you file.
