does a payday loan company require a court order to garnishee wages

does it make any difference that it is ei payments

A licensed trustee said...

They certainly do, BUT many payday loan companies get you to sign a form that says they can garnishee your wages without one. They then mail that you your employer and hope your employer will take the money off your pay. It is not legal and you can instruct your employer to ignore the demand.
