If I retire and collect superannuation and i go into bankruptcy a year later is it considered assets

I can only assume you are referring to some sort of pension that you will be receiving. Within most provinces pensions are looked at as exempt assets during a bankruptcy, but it would be important to explore what type of pension, what the pay out looks like etc. to be able to answer your question with any certainty.
I would suggest you take your pension documents to a local trustee, have them review the details and then you would have a much clearer idea what to expect should a bankruptcy be filed.
