School Costs

For starters I`ll lay out my circumstances.
I owe an Ontario University around $15,000 for one year of schooling because of a student loan that failed to come through for me. The school will not let me re-apply until I have pay off my debt, thus I am not elidgable for any Ontario Student Assistance. Yet. IF I file for bankruptcy, will this erase my debt with the school? will it nullify my chances of returning? will it nullify my chances of receiving furture Student Assistance from the Ontario Government or the Canadian Government?

I am more or less oblivious to most of the workings of Bankruptcy in Canada but I`ve heard it could MAYBE be a solution to my problems. Please help! Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

If you have not been out of school for a minimum of 7 years then bankruptcy laws in Canada will not be of any assistance. To find out what your “end of study date” is contact the National Student Loan Centre.
