i am a single parent with 19 month old son and have a paid off house. owe $40000 in debt and they are now trying to get lein on my house. how long can the lein last

Typically the lein is only removed when the debt is paid in full. Now this is assuming that the creditor in question renew’s the lein as required, but most do.
