house insurance

I filed for bankruptcy.i surendered my house that is jointly owned.am i responsile to keep insurance on the house.or is my ex responsible.

A licensed trustee said...

If you have surrendered your interest in the house (ie handed over the keys) then you are no longer responsible for the insurance on the property. If your ex is still living in the hosue (or if they haven’t surrendered the house to the mortgage compnay) then they should maintain the insurance.
