RRSP

I am going to file bankruptcy soon. I don`t have any RRSP`s until now but if I start contributing to RRSP while in bankruptcy will that amount also be seized by the trustee? Thanks.

When a bankruptcy is filed, all RRSP contributions that took place in the 12 months immediately preceeding the filing of the bankruptcy are lost. They would be liquidated and the proceeds distributed among your unsecrued credtiors.
