I have claimed bankruptcy about 25 years ago. Will it affect a bankruptcy now?

Yes, it will. The second time you file for bankruptcy in Canada the procedure will run a minimum of 24 months and possibly 36 – this is assuming you perform all of your duties properly and none of your creditors request a Court review.
