New Laws

Hello, I was wondering if I were to meet with a trustee and start the process by Monday, Sept 14 would I fall under the old laws or is it too late and am I going to faal under the new law. And my other question is how much over the surplus do I have to be to be extended. (i.e. $5 or $500)

You could contact a local trustee to see if it is possible, but at this late hour you may find this difficult as you first must sit down with the trustee, then supply the trustee with a variety of information (including filling out and returning an application form), and the trustee’s office has to then prepare the documents and have everything signed. The other problem is that this will likely have to be done by noon on September 16, 2009 as the Superintendent is rumored to be stopping accepting filings as of that date. So call a trustee and you can try, but you may find it a challenge.
