TAX RESPONSIBILTY
AS A SPOUSE, SEPARATED FOR 6 YEARS IS IT POSSIBLE THAT I COULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HUSBANDS INCOME TAX DEBT ACCUMULATED DURING MARRIAGE. A MORTGAGE REDUCTION PAYMENT WAS MADE RATHER THAT MEETING TAX OBLIGATION PENALTY AND INTEREST HAS ACCUMULATED FOR OVER 15 YEARS I AM NOT JUDGMENT PROOF
I RECEIVED THE BENEFIT WHEN MATRIMONIAL HOME WAS SOLD HUSBAND IS CONSIDERING BANKRUPTCY

There really isn’t sufficient information provided for me to be in a position where I can answer this question. Conceivably, there are a few scenario’s that could result in you being liable for tax debt, but what you need to do is call a local trustee, give them an overview of what is happening and they will be in a better position to advise you.
