Inheritance

I recently recieved a inheritance and handed it over to my trustee. It very nearly covered my debt in my bankruptcy however I`m still a little short which is fine. My payments have been reduced and should be done my payments in the middle of November. Will this help my case at all in court? Will the judge see this payment and grant me a full discharge? I`ve been following all my obligations in my bankruptcy. This is my second bankruptcy.

It literally depends on which Court you’ll be appearing in. In the London area you can expect to receive a 3 month suspended discharge (basically an extension to yoru bankruptcy of 3 more months). In the Toronto Court the extension will be for at least 6 months, and in Ottawa I believe it is also 3. Check with your trustee – they will know the common practice in your area.
