If you file a consumer proposal or bankruptcy, is your employer and your financial institution informed of this?

The only time your employer is informed is if you owe money to your employer or if your wages are being garnished. In terms of your banking institution, normally they only get informed if you owe any money to them. Otherwise there really is no need to inform these parties when a bankruptcy or consumer proposal is filed.
