would be job be effected if i file bankruptcy?

Hi, seriously considering filing for bankruptcy… however I am concerned about my job. I work at the bank and half of my unsecured loan is with the same bank. The bank can terminate me if I file for bankruptcy due to financial difficulty? Or would bank be allowed to keep portion of my pay?

I am certain the bank has an EAP program in place – you should ask them the bank’s policy regarding employees and bankruptcy. Alternatively, ask someone in the Human Resources department. You won’t be the first employee of a bank to file for bankruptcy (or the last), but you need to hear the answers to your questions directly from the bank (as opposed to hearing them from me).
