proposal
Is it possible to do a consumer proposal after having filed for bankruptcy. I just got a new job working for commission. It may be possible for me to make some really good money with this job. I am worried that my bankruptcy will be extended (I have 5 months left) due to surplus income if I do make some big commissions. If this happens, would it be possible to do a proposal and pay off the debt as quickly as possible and avoid a possible bankruptcy extension?
Thank you for this service you provide

Yes, you may file a proposal even after you have filed for bankruptcy. If your proposal is accepted then your bankruptcy will be annulled (cancelled).
I strongly suggest you contact your trustee so that together you can “run some numbers” to determine the terms of your potential proposal vs the cost of remaining in bankrutpcy. Then you can decide which makes the most sense for you.
