Notice to creditor

I claimed bankruptcy back in Aug.2008. I reported a credit line debt with a bank to my Trustee . The bank was notified, however, the a co-signer of the debt was not notified. What can happen? Thanks.

Unless you listed the cosigner as a creditor, they do not get informed. It is up to the bank to make arrangements to collect directly from the co-signer. Eventually this should happen, but there is no telling how long before the bank will move their collection efforts to the co-signer.
