Vehicles

I saw a trustee this week-just deciding whether to do a proposal or bankruptcy. My questions is my family has 2 vehicles. My husband and I are filing jointly and want to give back one of the vehicles. Should I be calling the companies that financed the cehicles one being TD and the other Chrysler financial and finding out if I would be able to keep the vehicle or does the trustee do this. My biggest fear is if we claim bankruptcy and give a vehicle back-I do not want to find out that the other company won`t let us keep the other vehicle. Befor filing bankruptcy will you generally know if you can keep a vehicle???

It is always a good idea to contact the company with which you intend to keep the vehicle and inform them of your intention to keep the vehicle. This is something that is you need to do as it is you intending to keep the vehicle and the trustee cannot commit to this on your behalf.
