March 27th, 2009 by Questions

I currently don`t have income though I am employed. No income due to medical leave issues. I have been using a credit card to pay for rent, food etc. I have 3 cards, I stopped using the other two. Will this be a problem if I delare bankruptcy? Im using the card to keep my apartment and stay afloat.

The best advice is to stop using the credit card. If you use the credit card knowing that you will never be able to pay it back and likely will be filing bankruptcy then technically you could have some difficulties as a result. Now, due to the items you have been using the credit card for I doubt these difficulties will arise in your situation, but it is always possible.

So the best advice is to stop using any of the cards and to local trustee right away so that you can deal with these outstanding debts without making the bankruptcy process more difficult on yourself.
