canada rvevue garnishment

in 2001 i filed for bankruptcy because rev.can. was garnishing my pay. i did not pay the $1400.00 nor go to the meetings. the garnishment stopped,but now it is back.i owe rev.can $12,000.00 and other debts totaling about $20,000.00. i am single w/2 kids, one 21yrs. not working,the other 18yrs. in school,i do not know what to do.

You need to contact the trustee that originally handled your file in order to determne what you need to do to complete your 2001 bankruptcy. There is no easy way out of this – there’s also no way to stop the government garnishee until you have either repaid the debt or been discharged from bankruptcy.

For the other folks reading this site – learn a lesson from this person’s problem: if you file for bankruptcy complete the procedure. If you have not been discharged then your debts have not been eliminated and they may come back to bite you later…
