What happens if I get married after I file for bankruptcy?
February 2nd, 2009 by Questions
If I get married after I file for bankruptcy how will my spouse be afftected? My future spouse is living out of town for work and comes home for the weekends. Will I need to include my spouse`s income since we will be living in separate residences and how will this affect how much I pay my trustee each month?

The fact that you are married (or not) doesn’t really factor into the calculation – the issue is one of residency: where do people live? Your situation is unusual, but not unique. I suggest you simply discuss it with whatevr trustee you speak to before you file so that there is an agreement on how you will be treated.
