joint account and over draft of 2000

i am plannng to file for personel bankruptcy,the question i have is ,my spouse and i have a joint account that have an over draft of 2000 ,that will be part of my claim ,would that have any effect on my spouse and what.

You are correct that the $2000 will be part of your bankruptcy. But your bankrutpcy doesn’t have the ability to settle a debt that is held jointly. So this means that you will legally be cleared from the debt, but your spouse will still be fully responsible for that $2000.
