differnt credit card #

I have a credit card on the same account as someone else. He didn`t sign any cosigner papers or anything…just put my name down when they asked if he wanted a second card.
I have a different credit card number than they do.
Can i claim bankruptcy on my card? or would he still be responsible? Is he considered a cosigner?

A licensed trustee said...

The only way to be certain is to call the credit card company and ask them whose names are associated with your account number. If the other person is not listed then they will not be affected if you file for bankruptcy.
