credit card debts and bankruptcy

if one needs to file for bankruptcy and has credit cards debt that had there partners name on them as sub card holder not too long ago would thei be charged that amount. also if u are in a courtcase with the government were thei think u havent paid enough taxs and it is a substantial amount, does this get cleared also.

When you have people with additional cards on the account it really depends on how that account is set up. If these cards are simply supplemental cards and the agreement doesn’t stipulate that the other parties are responsible, then you shouldn’t have any issues. But realistically it comes down to the agreement, how the agreement has been set up and sometimes the type of activity on the account.

As for taxes, these items are cleared if you file for bankruptcy. From the sounds of it you need to schedule a time to meet with a local trustee right away.
