Renting an Apartment

October 16th, 2008 by Questions

I know I am required to to disclose that I am bankrupt if I wish to borrow $500 or more but I was wondering if I am required by law to tell a potential landlord I am bankrupt. They do not usually run credit checks here in Newfoundland and sometimes rent can be under $500 per month. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

If you are not being offered credit then you are not required by law to inform anyone that you have filed for bankruptcy.
