no work no money
My wife will probably never be able to work and has not worked enough to collect cpp benefits because of her illness and I have also become ill. My workplace does not want to pay my disability insurance and I had to go on EI during the appeal, but EI will end soon and I will have no income. My depts are mutiple credit cards and lines of credit that have balloned since i havent gotten my usual paychecks. I have no assets(no house no car no nothing but dept) nor does my wife. Am I a candedate for bankruptcy considering I have an appeal in progress (which i dont believe will be approved, forcing lawyers into what looks like a long wait.)

You definitely are a candidate for bankruptcy. I would recommend you contact a trustee directly to discuss exactly what is involved with filing a bankruptcy and how it will impact you.
