This spring (2008), Bankruptcy Canada said that trustees were trying to negotiating with ICBC to get ICBC to recognize Canada`s Bankruptcy laws. IE: if you go bankrupt you don`t owe money to ICBC so how can they continue to penalize a person for debts that are federally cleared? Has there been any headway in this regard? thanks

This is something that I haven’t heard about. I would suggest you contact a licensed trustee who practices in BC as they would be the first to be informed of such an action.
